  • Time-Lapse Kayak Surfing

I set my camera on some driftwood and shot 10 second intervals for 200 frames. I was hoping to get a new profile pic for Facebook. Afterward, I decided it would be a funny time-lapse, so I made a time-lapse video of it. It turned out pretty dorky! Taken on Lake Superior near Grand Marais, MN. The reef breaks on 2' waves, but it's ugly. Don't look down into the water as you kayak over it.

  • Amputee Skier Above Knee Ready for Lutsen!!

Me on my new XT-9 ski leg 2/25/2010 , 323 days after my accident. I am an above knee amputee and worked very hard to be able to ski with my 13 year old son again. After a concussion and a few bent pylons, we finally got it all figured out. I want to take my son to Lutsen since it is the biggest and the best on the Midwest. Never quit! If you fall, get up and try it again and you will not fail in the long run.

  • Dogsledding at Camp Menogyn - smooth ride

Dogsledding on Bearskin Lake at Camp Menogyn - located off the Gunflint Trail, north of Grand Marais, MN. The dogs were so loud when they were ready to run, then so quite when they started running. The ride was peaceful out on the lake - and then got quite exciting in the woods with hills, twists & turns.
